Having 3 young children I see many new mums discharged from hospital before there milk supply comes in. Wouldn’t it be a simply solution to stay in hospital a few extras days to aid this process and possibly reduce the following problems; feeling a failure when having trouble breastfeeding, re-admission to hospital, post natal depression, sore and cracked nipples, trouble with engorgment…..Years ago when I was born, mums used to stay in hospital for 7 days. I’m sure the rate of breastfeeding trouble was minimal back then.
Could somebody please tell me if ‘The Marquee Club’ in South Melbourne is still a happening place. I promised a friend that once I was finished making my family I would go out. The Marquee used to be my favourite place, I am a huge retro fan.
